Temples, Tuk Tuks, Thai Food & Too Many Cocktails

Thailand had been on my travel list for a while, and let’s just say… it did not disappoint. From jungle adventures and island hopping to rooftop views, beach clubs, and cocktails by the pool, Thailand delivered the perfect mix of culture, chaos, and luxury.
Our trip started with a very glamorous welcome… sitting in our villa waiting for my friend’s luggage to arrive after it decided to take an unexpected holiday in Hong Kong. Apparently, even suitcases need a layover adventure. While we waited, we did what any sensible traveller would do relaxed by the pool and enjoyed our beautiful villa.
Day two officially began with a minor holiday emergency: a broken nail. Naturally, the first stop was a nail spa because priorities matter. Once my manicure was restored, we headed out to experience the real flavours of Thailand. We explored the local market, tried street food, and yes… I ate a locust. Was it delicious? Let’s just say it was an experience I can now tick off the list.
Later that day, we visited Afro Phuket before returning to our villa for a much-needed evening of poolside relaxation, sipping rosé and enjoying the tropical surroundings.
The next adventure took us into the heart of Thailand’s nature. We visited an elephant sanctuary before heading into the jungle for an obstacle course and zip lining through the trees. Nothing says “holiday” quite like flying through the jungle and questioning your life choices halfway through.
After all that adrenaline, we ended the day exactly how we started back by the pool, drinks in hand.

Then came Bangkok.
An early 8am flight took us from Phuket to Thailand’s buzzing capital. Bangkok was everything you imagine: vibrant, chaotic, colourful, and full of life. We explored the city, visited the incredible IconSiam shopping centre, and finished the evening watching Muay Thai at the legendary Rajadamnern Stadium. The atmosphere was electric a perfect introduction to Bangkok’s energy.
The following day was all about culture. We explored the city and visited the stunning Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, with its incredible architecture and peaceful atmosphere. After soaking up Bangkok’s beauty, we flew back to Phuket for a quieter evening luckily, the rain arrived, giving us the perfect excuse to relax indoors.

Then came one of the highlights of the trip: Phi Phi Islands.
We spent the entire day island hopping on a private boat, surrounded by crystal-clear water, dramatic cliffs, and views that looked like they belonged on a postcard.
Of course, no Thailand trip would be complete without a little glamour. We headed to Yona Beach Club the world’s first beach club at sea and turned the night into a full celebration. Music, cocktails, dancing, and somehow not making it home until 3am. A moment!
Our final day was spent enjoying a resort day pass: sunbathing, eating, drinking, and soaking up every last bit of paradise before heading home.
Thailand was everything I hoped it would be full of culture, colour, incredible food, adventure, and unforgettable memories. It’s a place where ancient traditions meet modern luxury.
Thailand, you were beautiful. I’ll be back.
