As you may already know the Grammy award show was on the other night, I usually dont watch the award show but I do love the red carpet moments and seeing what/who everyone is wearing.
Here is my run down of some of the best and worst dressed celebs on that night.
Miss Riri wore an amazing Azzadine Alaia gown with sheer panelling at the top and crossed back. She looked amazing, her hair and make-up flawless, although I still prefer her short pixie cut to the long brown extensions.
Mr Riri I mean Chris Brown wore a dazzling white Lanvin suit complete with white loafers (where does one go to buy white loafers? I don’t know.) Chris looked amazing and “innocent” I especially liked the fact that he has finally moved away from the whole Sisqo hair phase he was going through, although he didn’t win an award this time, he does get an award for SWAG!
Despite the ‘no boob’ rule that was issued by the organisers of the award show, Katy Perry decided to go against the grain and show a little cleavage at the Grammy’s, I guess that’s what you must do to get some attention when you’re just an attendee and not a winner. This mint green Gucci dress fitted her perfectly, her signature shiny black locks and polished make-up complemented her very well, so did (cough cough) John Mayer.
Kelly Rowland dazzled the crowd in this amazeballs creation by Beirut-based Lebanese designer Georges Chakra. The sheer slices on the dress give you a little peek at her stunning body although not revealing too much. I wish Kelly had done something else with her hair instead of the up-do and fringe, and a little more diamonds Kelly, diamonds are a girls bestfriend.
Woman of the hour and new mother Adele wore this Valentino carpet haute-couture dress with her signature up-do and thick liner. When it comes to make-up Adele never goes wrong, she has one of the most stunning faces and she’s super photogenic. However that doesn’t make okay for her to go to the grammy’s dressed like an antique couch. And the cut of the dress really does noting for her voluptuous figure.
J-Lo was giving me heat in this Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2013 dress, she was like “yes gawd hunty I done waxed my legs”. This is probably my ultimate favourite outfit of the night. Ms Lopez keeps getting it right, when was the last time you saw Jennifer looking a hot mess at an award show? I’ll wait….
Now sometimes with the good come the bad, I don’t know when Janelle Monae will get tired of wearing black and white suits but when that day comes, I’ll be throwing a party and you’re all invited. I used to think her style was quirky and cool but its not evolving and style must evolve. How you dressed five years ago shouldn’t be how you dress today there should be some sort of upgrade in your style, that’s just my philosophy.
Word on the streets is that Estelle helped design her
beautiful gown LOL! Estelle you actually tried it, and you tried really hard, bless. Its not so much the cut that makes this dress incredibly hideous but the bizarre pattern. The wind swept weave and the non-wow factor of this whole ensemble also had to the hideousness. Estelle I love you but I hate your dress and your weave!! There I said it!
Now I must end this post on a high, Mrs Carter was at the Grammy’s snatching wigs with this outfit. A year after giving birth your girl is back and killing it in this Osman Yousefzada one piece. I guess Bey must have read my post on spring Summer trends graphic monochrome, because she hit the nail on the head with this outfit. Werrrk it, owwwwn it!!
This is my run down of some of the best and worst dressed, there were many other horrendous and stunning outfits, but I just couldn’t be bothered haha lol…
