Known for his hand-sewn, voluminous, ruffled dresses, made from Japanese polyester Tomo Koizumi was discovered when Sara Maino (editor of Vogue Italia) posted an image of his work on her instagram page. Which drew the attention of British designer Giles Deacon and somehow his work ended up in Marc Jacobs’ New York store during fashion week Autumn/Winter 2019.
