Big news out of Paris Balmain has officially named Antonin Tron as its new Creative Director, following Olivier Rousteing’s iconic 14-year run. The Paris-born designer, best known for his label Atlein.

A graduate of Antwerp’s prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Tron cut his teeth at Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Saint Laurent before launching Atlein in 2016. His appointment marks a fresh new chapter for Balmain one that swaps sequins for structure and focuses on craftsmanship and movement rather than celebrity sparkle.

Tron’s first collection will debut at Paris Fashion Week in March for Fall/Winter 2026–27, and we’re already anticipating a refined, modern reinvention of Balmain’s DNA. One thing’s for sure: the Balmain Army is about to get a serious minimalist makeover.
