“I had this dream of finding a forgotten couture collection in the basement of Elsa’s country house.” This vision captures Daniel Roseberry’s creative essence at Schiaparelli. Known for its 1920s and ’30s couture, Schiaparelli is rejuvenated under Roseberry, who draws inspiration from the 1950s this season, a period he finds refreshingly simple.
The show, staged in the basement of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, evoked classic haute couture with its stately model presentations. Celebrities like Doja Cat and Kylie Jenner watched as Roseberry’s designs showcased the brand’s versatility. Highlights included a cape with eagle-like shoulders and a black party dress with a can-can tulle skirt.
Roseberry aims to shed his “meme weaver” label, blending Schiaparelli’s surreal legacy with modern seduction. Signature pieces, like the 3-D rose neckline dress, reflect a real embrace of the body, ensuring his creations remain timeless yet innovative.
