Runway| Christian Dior Couture SS-26

Jonathan Anderson’s haute couture debut for Dior was a masterclass in modern heritage.

His inspiration came not from nostalgia, but from sculptor Magdalene Odundo, whose hand-built ceramic forms informed the collection’s fluid shapes, organic volumes, and sense of calm strength. Anderson translated her sculptural language into feather-light structures, soft hourglass silhouettes, and knit.

It was couture, but cool, rooted in handwork, elevated by art. By weaving Odundo’s work into Dior’s legacy, Anderson proved that preserving heritage isn’t about freezing it in time. It’s about letting it breathe, evolve, and feel relevant now.
