Runway| Alaïa SS-26

Alaïa’s SS-16 collection was rooted in emotion, craftsmanship, and quiet intensity. The inspiration was clear: creating beauty as a form of escape, while still acknowledging the tension of the world around us. Mulier described the collection as a “cocoon”, “a moment of softness, intimacy, and reflection”.

Sculpted silhouettes hugged the body in signature Alaïa fashion, with seamless knit dresses moulded to curves and architectural shapes that felt sensual yet restrained. Cotton tunics referenced Azzedine Alaïa’s early work, grounding the collection in the house’s heritage while keeping it modern. Fringing, silk knits, and fluid tailoring introduced movement, suggesting emotion rather than excess.
