Fashion News| Rachel Scott Steps In at Proenza Schouler

Big news in fashion this week Rachel Scott, the Jamaican-born designer behind the rising label Diotima, has officially been named the new Creative Director of Proenza Schouler.

Scott launched Diotima in 2021 and quickly became a name to know, winning back-to-back CFDA awards for Emerging Designer (2023) and Womenswear Designer of the Year (2024). Her work is instantly recognizable delicate crochet, crystal mesh, layered tailoring all infused with a handcrafted touch from artisans in Jamaica. It’s a balance of sharp sophistication and cultural storytelling that has made her collections stand out without even staging traditional runway shows.

Scott had already been consulting with Proenza Schouler earlier this year, quietly co-designing the spring 2026 collection. Her first solo collection for the house will debut in February 2026, and all eyes will be on how she blends her signature craft-focused aesthetic with Proenza’s modern, polished DNA.

Rachel Scott isn’t just inheriting a legacy, she’s redefining what the next chapter of Proenza Schouler looks like. And honestly? We’re ready!
