One to Watch| Photographer Keith Oshiro

If you don’t already know the name Keith Oshiro, it’s time to change that. The Los Angeles–born, Japanese-American photographer is crafting a fresh visual language that blends softness, boldness, and raw honesty often all in one shot.

His images feel like hazy memories drenched in sunset light, and yet they’re razor-sharp in intention. Oshiro isn’t just taking pretty pictures he’s telling stories, often shaped by his own experiences with identity and emotion.

He first picked up a camera to document his world, flipping the narrative on what it means to be “too sensitive” or “too soft.” His work challenges gender norms with quiet rebellion—capturing men in delicate, vulnerable poses and women in strong, androgynous light. It’s poetic, it’s powerful, and it’s resonating.

He’s already lensed major campaigns for Carhartt WIP, Nike, and Uniqlo, and created standout editorials for Dazed, i-D, SSENSE, and W. His shoot for Carhartt SS24 is a masterclass in mood sunlight, texture, and twill meet in a golden hour dream.

In a sea of polished perfection, Keith Oshiro brings soul. And we’re watching closely.
