Before my recent trip to Rio, I was on a mission to find the perfect face sunscreen with SPF 50. It was harder than I expected until I stumbled upon Minimalist on Amazon.
Their face sunscreen claimed to be suitable for all skin types without leaving a white cast — a common issue for black and brown skin tones. And if you’re a makeup lover, you know how disastrous a white cast can look under foundation.
I was pleasantly surprised. This sunscreen is incredibly lightweight, unscented (a big plus for me), and budget-friendly at under £10 for 50 grams (1.7 oz). If you’re diligent about daily sunscreen use like I am, it should last about a month and a bit.
It takes a bit of working into the skin, but once absorbed, it pairs perfectly with moisturiser — no white cast in sight. It also contains niacinamide, vitamin B5, and vitamin F. I’m not entirely sure what they do, but I’m guessing they’re great for skin health. Overall, it’s a fantastic find!
