Runway| Versace AW-24

Most Powerful Milan Show Yet?

Versace’s Milan Fashion Week show was a bold display of confidence and power. The black shag carpet and white staircase created a striking backdrop as models walked in a figure-eight through the crowd. Despite the ongoing transition with Tapestry’s acquisition of Capri, Donatella Versace’s vision was strong and unmistakable.

The rebellious spirit of punk was infused into the collection, with models sporting spiked hair and heavy eyeliner. However, instead of being overtly edgy, the looks were polished and refined. Donatella used Atelier Versace fabrics, shredded and woven into tweeds dotted with crystals, creating chic miniskirt suits and jackets paired with stirrup leggings.

Notable details included dainty white collars, lifted from a 1993 show, and dramatic hourglass dresses with daring slits and crystal embellishments. One red leather cocktail dress, also worn by Anne Hathaway, was an architectural marvel. We expect to see these looks on the red carpet soon!
