What’s Next for Both Brands?
In a surprising move, Kim Jones is stepping down as the creative director of Fendi, while remaining at the helm of Dior Men. Jones’ departure from Fendi marks the end of his short but impactful tenure, during which he blended Fendi’s signature Italian craftsmanship with his modern, streetwear-influenced designs. As he exits Fendi, the big question is: what’s next for both fashion houses?
For Dior Men, Jones’ continued leadership promises more of his distinct vision—mixing luxury with sportswear and pushing the boundaries of modern menswear. He’s proven to be a powerhouse for Dior, consistently delivering collections that resonate with both critics and consumers, making his decision to stay a strategic one for the brand.

However, Fendi is left in a transitional period. The luxury Italian house could use this as an opportunity to shift its focus. Hiring a female creative director could be an exciting move, considering Fendi’s deep-rooted history in womenswear and its legacy shaped by Silvia Venturini Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld. A woman at the helm could bring a fresh perspective, infusing the brand with femininity and perhaps an even greater focus on its iconic accessories and furs.

The upcoming seasons for both brands will be interesting to watch. Dior Men will likely see more of Jones’ innovative menswear, while Fendi’s future is wide open. Whoever takes over the creative reins could completely redefine the brand’s direction, and the possibility of a female director adds an intriguing layer to the conversation. We shall see!
