The End of a Leading UK Aesthetic Medicine Firm

In a shocking turn of events, Sk:n Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of aesthetic medicine, has collapsed. According to a statement on the firm’s website, trading ceased on July 17, resulting in the closure of more than 70 clinics across the UK.
The collapse affects the entire business, which included Sk:n Clinics, The Harley Medical Group, Skinbrands, The Skin Experts, and ABC Medical. Despite “extensive” efforts to secure further investment, the company was unable to continue trading.
Sk:n Clinics was renowned for offering a range of aesthetic medicine services, such as laser treatments and Hydrafacial brand treatments. The Harley Medical Group specialized in cosmetic surgery procedures, contributing to the group’s diverse portfolio.
Founded with a vision to provide high-quality skin treatments, Sk:n Clinics quickly became a trusted name in the aesthetic industry. What set it apart was its commitment to using state-of-the-art technology and employing highly trained medical professionals. The company was acquired by private equity firm TriSpan in 2019, which spurred a series of acquisitions, including The Harley Medical Group and other competitor chains, forming a multi-brand powerhouse.

The sudden closure of Sk:n Group leaves a significant void in the UK’s aesthetic medicine landscape. This event may also prompt scrutiny of other fashion houses and aesthetic medicine providers relying on similar business models, potentially leading to industry-wide changes.
