Beauty News| Ren Clean Skincare CEO Michelle Brett to Step Down

Ren Clean Skincare’s CEO, Michelle Brett, will be stepping down from her role on July 1, The Business of Beauty reports.

A successor has yet to be announced. Brett will transition to a new position within Unilever Prestige, which has owned Ren Clean Skincare since 2015.

Brett joined Ren Clean Skincare from Living Proof, another Unilever Prestige brand. During her tenure, she refocused the brand’s marketing and product offerings to cater more to sensitive skin, leading to the discontinuation of over a third of the brand’s SKUs in 2023.

Brett also aimed to expand Ren Clean Skincare’s presence in the US. Although founded in the UK in 2000, the brand remains primarily a UK market player and is available in only 34 of Sephora’s 500+ North American stores. Unilever Prestige has not yet commented on Brett’s departure or her successor.
