Runway| Bottega Veneta AW-24

After a globe-trotting escapade last season, Bottega Veneta’s Matthieu Blazy has shifted focus to the everyday, seeking to create a sartorial monument out of the ordinary. The inspiration stemmed from the current state of the world, prompting Blazy to contemplate what can be achieved in the realm of fashion. The result is a collection that elevates the functionality of clothes to a maximum, without sacrificing the uniqueness that defines Bottega Veneta.

With Winter 2024, Bottega Veneta redefines “everyday” through volume, craft, and wit. Matthieu Blazy delivered sculptural coats, asymmetric dresses with jewelled fastenings, and gowns woven from shredded fil coupé and spiky fringes. Even prints were subversive — from passport stamps to graph paper — turning the banal into the beautiful. Accessories got their moment too, with a fish-shaped clutch already poised to rival the iconic Sardine bag. In a season dominated by understatement, Bottega refuses to play it safe, offering a collection that transforms the pragmatic into the poetic.
