Runway| David Koma Fall-24

David Koma’s confidence shines as he seamlessly blends inspiration and wearable art in his fall collection. Drawing from dance pioneers Pina Bausch and Candela Capitán, along with artist Rebecca Horn’s kinetic sculptures, Koma found a unique spark at London’s “Thin Air” exhibition.

The collection celebrates movement, with sleek black and white ensembles reminiscent of Bausch’s fusion of everyday attire and dancewear. Tutus get a modern twist, adorned with various fabrics and hues. Structured tailoring in neoprene takes centre stage, while hand-spun creations transform into vibrant graphic designs on floor-length macramé silhouettes.

Shearling makes a statement on miniskirts and leather biker jackets, adding texture to the elegance. True to Koma’s signature style, garments sparkle with crystals nestled in raw metal rings, delivering a touch of razzle-dazzle. Satin slingbacks and boots, embellished with plumes, inject a playful party-girl flair. In a captivating display, David Koma orchestrates a symphony of elegance, leaving everyone tapping their toes—a testament to his evolution as a designer.
