Fashion News| New Chapter at Moschino

In an exciting turn of events, Moschino has appointed Adrian Appiolaza as its new Creative Director, taking the reins of the women’s, men’s, and accessories collections at the esteemed Aeffe-owned fashion house.

Bringing a decade of experience to Moschino, Appiolaza’s journey in the fashion industry includes a significant stint at Loewe, where he served as the Women’s Ready-to-Wear Design Director under the guidance of Jonathan Anderson. Prior to that, he held the same role at Chloé, working alongside renowned designer Clare Waight Keller.

Aeffe Executive Chairman Massimo Ferretti expressed confidence in Appiolaza, stating, “Adrian brings with him a unique wealth of experience, creativity, and knowledge of the history of fashion that will be instrumental to write a wonderful new chapter in the adventure of the brand founded by Franco Moschino.”

Adrian Appiolaza steps into the role following the untimely passing of Davide Renne, who was hired from Gucci to succeed longtime Moschino designer Jeremy Scott. Despite the challenges, Moschino looks ahead to a fresh perspective and a surge of creativity under Appiolaza’s leadership.

Fashion enthusiasts can mark their calendars for February 22, as Appiolaza is set to unveil his inaugural collection for Moschino at Milan Fashion Week. This highly anticipated debut promises a blend of Appiolaza’s unique vision and Moschino’s iconic spirit, setting the stage for a captivating journey into the future of the renowned fashion house.
