Being the sister to one of the worlds biggest stars can be a difficult thing to live with, however Miss Knowles has managed to transition from just being known as Beyonces’ little sister to Solange Knowles trendsetter, jet-setter and fashion icon.

Growing up in the lime light and having your entire family in the music business it is virtually impossible to not be bitten by that music bug.  Back in 2009 Knowles debuted her most successful album to date Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams which had hits such as I decided and T.O.N.Y. Personally I cannot get enough of Solange, her style, her hair, her make-up…. YES GAWD!! It seems as if the older Solange gets the better she gets, from her music to her fashion, and let me tell you that she was the first brown girl to be featured in a Rimmel advert. Which is a big deal considering Rimmels’ primary market are ivory girls, not mocha girls like me.

Her recently released song Losing you which was shot in South Africa successfully displays all that Miss Knowles is known for, fun, fashion, beauty and music.

Also last year February Vogue UK asked the songstress to blog about her daily outfits on their online blog called Today I’m wearing.

Did you know that Solange is also a DJ and recently she  had a gig at London’s famous hotspot XOYO in Shoreditch.

Her quirky off-beat style has taken the fashion world by storm, her au-naturelle African girl hair drives all the brown girls crazy, it has suddenly become cool again to have an afro. (Get it gurrl)
