From Dolce and Gabbana to Tabitha Simmons stripes were taking over the runway shows for the Spring/Summer collections. Whether you’re a preppie Tommy Hilfiger kind of girl, or a retro sixties enthusiast, there were stripes there for you.

Some of my favourite pieces were on show at the Moschino show in Milan. The entire collection had a sixties street party feel to it, the make-up on the girls was beautiful. The pieces that stood out the most for me were the top and skirt blue and white stripe combo, It was clean cut with horizontal and vertical stripes, very minimalistic (well as minimalistic Moschino can be) and chic.

How to wear it| if you’re no very much into stripe-on-stripes but would still want to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe this summer, a small striped bag can add that extra zing to any plain outfit or you could try wearing a simplistic stripe heeled sandal combined with a lovely chiffon dress.

personally I love the combination of stripes on stripes, I would wear a horizontally striped blouse combined with vertically striped capri pants with flats and a purse, voula!! It’s simple, clean and timeless.
